nemo profeta in patria

e si ragazzi, credono in noi piu' gli amici recenti che non i vecchi.
leggete un po' l'accorata mail arrivata a mariateresa da una mamma statunitense, genitore sino all'anno scorso della nostra scuola.

Oggetto: A wild idea

Gals, the Segen school is closing next years for mysterious reasons untold. sad, very sad indeed. A huge hole will be left in Bari, as it was on we of the few schools where teachers and parents seemed to care.

but as one door shuts, another opens.

today this wild idea entered in my mind: why not see what it would take to open an international school? Seems to met his is an obvious question, with increasing numbers of foreigners coming here and "Crying out" for a school system that works better for them and their children. perhaps tie in with the attempts of the group of segen who wants to carry on? I have no a clue where to start except to ask questions.
anyone want to help research this idea? know of someone who has information? Pass this along to them, or let me know who and I will contact them. A new international school is apparently opening up in grotallia. Why not here? think I am crazy? Why not at least see what it might take?

Love, Katherine
